On Saturday morning, March 23rd, our CEO, Marco Braam, was honored with the prestigious 'Jongkind Prize' from Groei & Bloei! The annual gathering of Groei & Bloei, held in our own premises, provided the perfect stage for this special recognition.
The 'Jongkind Prize' is awarded annually to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the development of floriculture in and around Aalsmeer. This year, the honor was bestowed upon our very own Marco Braam, for his undisputed role in advancing innovation within the horticultural sector!
One of Aalsmeer's gems
The organisation itself declares: "When you step into today's greenhouses, it becomes clear that innovation in horticulture increasingly comes from technology. That's why we delved into Bosman Van Zaal. The director there is Marco Braam, and after our conversation, it became very clear to us that he is definitely deserving of the Jongkind Prize 2024."
The Groei & Bloei board believes that innovation increasingly stems from technology and AI. Bosman Van Zaal leads the way in this field and operates globally. With over 300 employees, including 180 at the Aalsmeer location on Braziliƫlaan, the horticultural technology company is designated by the board as one of Aalsmeer's gems.
Tour of our office and factory
Last Saturday, both the organisation and all the guests were present in our head office for the award ceremony, a tour, a presentation, and a question and answer session. More than 50 individuals, including many familiar faces from the Aalsmeer horticultural community, attended the event. The presentation of our company and the tour were highly appreciated, and some wonderful connections were made!
We wholeheartedly congratulate Marco on this splendid recognition as the director of our company, of which we can all be very proud!
