Extensive Sustainable Installation
Reichenspurner is a family business located near Lake Chiemsee, growing asparagus, strawberries, artichokes and pumpkins in open field. And strawberries, tomatoes and peppers in greenhouses. The produce is sold by supermarket chains Edeka and Kaufland. The new greenhouse in Weiding covers about 15 hectares and is dedicated to growing strawberries and tomatoes. Reichenspurner's focus is on sustainability and this project also fully complies with that.
When designing the installations, Bosman Van Zaal took the sustainable core values of the nursery as starting points. The extensive water system consists of silos, basins, fertilisation units, pumps and filters, drip systems, clean water systems and sewage connections. Specifically tailored to crop requirements and sustainability policies. The advanced electrical installation integrates all systems specially developed for growing tomatoes and strawberries. The whole is controlled by a Hoogendoorn iSii process climate computer, installed by Bosman Van Zaal.
